Australian event confirms increase in Dublin Declaration signatories
More than 850 scientists from around the world have now signed the Dublin Declaration, pledging to support and contribute to efforts to show scientifically that livestock farming brings benefits to society.
The updated figure came to light at the Australian Good Meat Summit in Sydney on March 21.
Organisers The Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) brought scientists from around the world to Australia to take part in what they described as a similar science-based event to one held in Dublin last year.
It was after the Dublin event that scientists began to sign the Dublin Declaration.
