ATC gives first-year students a finishing masterclass
The latest cohort of students at the University of Northampton’s Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT) have had their first introduction to practical leather finishing.
French leather chemicals manufacturer ATC has been working with the first year students to give them some basic finishing skills.
Using leather donated by the Scottish Leather Group, students have been learning from industry experts Julian Osgood and Tony Beaumont how to create finish formulations and implement them in finishing techniques.
The week-long masterclass has been a regular fixture on the student calendar for more than five years.
