Solid conditions for Australian beef exporters
Australia exported just over 70,000 tonnes of beef in February, an increase of 18% year on year.
Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) said this growth had come “off the back of higher slaughter numbers in 2023”. It said there was high demand in overseas markets alongside “a complex supply picture in other exporting regions”.
MLA said these circumstances had given Australian shippers “solid export conditions as production continues to rise”.
