Leathergoods brand Loewe has adopted the technique of hand-weaving strips of leather to create an updated version of its Goya Puffer handbag.

Previous versions of the bag used lamb nappa to create a smooth surface. The new one uses strips of lamb nappa to create a woven effect to imitate what the brand calls the elegant texture of the baffles on a puffer jacket. The lining is also lamb nappa.

Cutting and stitching, as well as the weaving, are by hand. 

For spring-summer 2023, the new style is available in four colours: black, light mauve, dark khaki green and butterscotch.
