Best Fimec for at least ten years, organiser says
The Fimec exhibition closed in Novo Hamburgo on March 9 after three days of meetings, demonstrations and seminars.
Organiser, Fenac, said more than 20,000 people had come through the doors, with high levels of participation from industry professionals from outside Brazil, as well as a strong local contingent.
Fenac president, Márcio Jung, said the 2023 event had been the best edition of Fimec since he took up his current role in January 2017 and one of the best ever.
Mr Jung is also the owner of footwear-focused consultancy Jung & Schmitz and, in that capacity, has been attending Fimec since 1985. “This was certainly the best fair in the last ten years,” he said. “Business was done here; the fair was full of decision-makers and connected visitors in search of suppliers with exhibitors who can supply what they need. This is exactly what business exhibitions are for.”
He said the success of this year’s event made him confident that Fimec 2024, which will take place in Novo Hamburgo from March 12 to 14, will be “one of the biggest of all time”.
