Leather offers apprentices ‘a future packed with opportunities’, SLG says
Scottish Leather Group is recruiting new apprentices for its in-house programme. The total number of new apprentices it has trained through its own apprenticeship academy so far has now reached 70.
The Renfrewshire-based leather manufacturing group launched its own apprenticeship academy in 2012 and, through this initiative, has trained a new generation of workers in manufacturing, product design and in the use of its IT systems.
Its programme combines on-the-job learning and structured training to give candidates all the skills they will need “to unlock a future packed with opportunities and new experiences” in the leather industry.
Graduate apprenticeships are also available to allow candidates to attend university while gaining professional experience.
