The Bangladesh leather industry saw growth of 6% in export revenues in the first eight months of the country’s current financial years (July 2022 to February 2023) to reach $832.4 million.

Finished leather exports contributed $ 85.7 million towards the total, a fall of 14.5% year on year.

Leathergoods exports increased, though, reaching $259.9 million, up by almost 24% year on year.

Leather footwear exports grew by 2.5% to reach $486.8 million.
