Chinese car maker to build factory in Argentina

Argentina’s ambassador to China has revealed that automotive group Chery is to invest $400 million in a new electric car factory in the South American country.

The ambassador, Sabino Vaca Narvaja, said the new factory would produce 100,000 vehicles per year and generate 6,000 jobs by 2030.

Chery already has a plant in Brazil.
