CICB emphasises Europe’s importance for Brazilian leather exports

Brazil’s main leather industry body said five leather manufacturers from the South American country travelled to Milan for the most recent edition of Lineapelle (February 21-23).

CICB said Italy and Germany are among the top-five importers of leather from Brazil. Italy is third overall, taking 16.7% of Brazil’s total leather exports. Germany is fifth with a 4.2% share.

Across Europe as a whole, importers of Brazilian leather took a 28% of exports in 2022.
