Circularity gap is growing, according to Deloitte
Consultancy firm Deloitte has published its Circularity Gap Report for 2023 and the report concludes that the global economy is currently only 7.2% circular, down from 9.1% in 2018, and 8.6% in 2020.
It has said that to bring human activity back within safe limits, global material extraction and consumption should be reduced by one-third.
The report says that embedding circularity in food, mobility manufactured goods and built environments will be crucial.
