Smit & Zoon CEO steps down
The chief executive of leather chemicals group Royal Smit & Zoon, Hans van Haarst, has resigned from his position with immediate effect. He will leave the organisation after “an orderly transition” on July 31. Marc Smit will assume the chief executive role with immediate effect.
Hans van Haarst (pictured) has led the company for ten years. Smit & Zoon said he had worked “with expertise, energy and dedication”. Accomplishments it highlighted included “an industry-leading approach to environmental, social, and corporate governance, the acquisition of Codyeco, the expansion of its global presence and creation of the Nera subsidiary.
