Alcanena prepares for Leather Days event
Portuguese leather industry association APIC will host a two-day seminar event in Alcanena on January 19 and 20.
Under the banner ‘Leather Days’, APIC has programmed a series of talks with a focus on the wider leather industry in some cases and, specifically, on the industry in Portugal in others.
For example, Mike Costello, head of environmental and social governance at Stahl will speak about the contribution leather chemicals manufacturers can make towards making the industry more sustainable.
For his part, the general secretary of APIC, Gonçalo Santos, will give a presentation on a project called In-Leathers, through which the organisation will seek to secure a higher level of business outside Portugal for the domestic leather industry in 2023 and 2024.
