A 19-year low for Australian beef exports

Australia exported 860,000 tonnes of beef in 2022, a decline of 28,000 tonnes compared to 2021.

This means 2022 was the third consecutive year of decline, in spite of a record export figure in isolation for the month of August.

In addition, the figure for 2022 is the lowest yearly volume since 2003, 19 years ago.
