The organisation that promotes high-end leathergoods, automotive, furniture and other luxury brands from Italy, Altagamma, has reappointed Matteo Lunelli as its chairman for the next three years. Mr Lunelli is chief executive of sparkling wine producer Ferrari Trento.

He said on being selected to serve a second three-year term as chairman that Altagamma was closing 2022, its thirtieth anniversary year, with a record number of members. The organisation now has 113 member companies and 25 partner companies.

“The pandemic brought challenges of a magnitude and urgency we could not have imagined,” Mr Lunelli said, “yet these challenges have strengthened the unity of Altagamma members and multiplied opportunities for collaboration.”
