Cattle slaughter remains low in Uruguay
Uruguay’s cattle slaughter for the month of November was almost 190,000 head, down by 15% year on year.
However, the National Meat Institute (INAC) said numbers picked up again at the start of December.
Industry commentators have said that, with China such an important export market for Uruguayan beef, there are grounds for hope of an increase in demand from there.
