Nestlé launches net zero dairy farm project in New Zealand
Consumer goods multinational Nestlé is investing in a pilot project at a dairy farm in New Zealand with the aim of developing methods for lowering emissions from cattle.
It said it would work in partnership with dairy farmers’ co-operative Fonterra to make a 290-hectare property in Taranaki on the country’s North Island the first net-zero-emission dairy farm in New Zealand.
The aim would then be to use this set-up as a model for similar projects in other countries.
