Tanac publishes formal ESG agenda
Vegetable-based tannin producer Tanac has released a formal agenda for ongoing progress it aims to make on environmental, social and governance (ESG).
The Brazilian company’s agenda outlines seven themes under the three ESG headings.
Under environmental responsibility, its themes are: a negative carbon agenda, to have environmental efficiency in its production chain, and to maintain a policy of sustainable forest management.
In social responsibility, its themes are: community development, diversity and inclusion, and safe and healthy work practices.
Finally, under management responsibility or governance, the theme it highlights is corporate risk management.
It said on presenting the agenda that conducting its activities in a responsible manner, minimising impacts on the environment and promoting the social and economic development of communities is “a constant commitment”.
