Packer group Tyson has reported revenues of $53.3 billion for the 12 months ending October 1, 2022. This represents growth of 13.3% compared to the previous year.

Beef was the group’s biggest segment, bringing in revenues of more than $19.8 billion. Tyson said the volume of beef it had sold was flat compared to the previous year (although it grew in the fourth quarter) but that revenues were up by 10.2%.

Looking ahead, it quoted the US Department of Agriculture as saying US beef production will decrease by approximately 6% in the next fiscal year.
