Packer company cleared for exports to China

Uruguayan packer company Oferán received clearance at the start of November to export meat to China.

The company said it had been operating at around 50% capacity in recent months but would now increase its activity, contracting livestock suppliers right away to help it meet Chinese demands for Uruguayan beef.
