Tanning technology provider Qualus has announced that trials of its polymer bead-based system at Indian leather manufacturer KH Group have proved successful. As a result, the KH Group will now begin using the technology in its retanning operations.

It said the Qualus technology would allow it to make important savings in its consumption of water and chemicals.

KH Group employs 15,000 people and produces leather, leathergoods and footwear for a number of prominent brands, including Prada and Ralph Lauren.
