Commercial agricultural ties between Brazil and Indonesia are growing. Recently, Brazil sent Indonesia 100,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine, and this was quickly followed by a visit from an Indonesian delegation to Brazil to inspect packing plants. This is with a view to increasing Indonesia’s imports of beef from Brazil.

In the first eight months of this year, Brazil exported almost 17,000 tonnes of frozen beef to Indonesia making Indonesia the ninth most important importer of frozen beef from Brazil.
