Top 100 companies inclusion for SLG
Scottish Leather Group (SLG) has been included in the list of Scotland’s top 100 privately listed companies, placing at number 91 on the list.
It is one of only 15 manufacturing and engineering companies to make the list and many of the other companies in this category have links to the oil industry in the north-east of the country and are also prominent among a growing number of companies on the list that are privately listed, but have backing from private equity groups.
SLG a family-owned group of businesses, exporting to more than 60 countries, said it was pleased to win inclusion in the list. “We are proud of our Scottish roots,” it said, “ and we are delighted to be listed alongside many other prestigious Scottish companies.”
Professional services firm Grant Thornton compiles the list using the most recent publicly available accounts and “a hybrid measure of data”.
