Higher education proposal for the leather industry

30/09/2022

A master’s degree in innovative leather technology has been proposed by a number of institutions in a joint project they have called Leatech. It will start in 2023.

Leatech will be coordinated by the A3 Leather Innovation Centre of the University of Lleida in Catalonia under the wider Erasmus Mundus educational exchange programme.

The A3 Centre, together with ITECH in France, EGE University in Turkey and CIATEC in Mexico, will collaborate to offer master’s qualifications of 120 credits.

Should it be approved, the course will be conducted in English; the focus will be on innovation, circularity and sustainability.

Full funding is envisaged for an intake of 60 students.
