From leather to textiles
The Rino Mastrotto Group has acquired a majority stake in a textile company, Tessitura Oreste Mariani. The company from Giussano in Lombardy specialises in the production of fabrics for high fashion.
The agreement provides that the Mariani family will remain with a minority stake and will continue to manage the company. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
“This investment opens a new chapter in the history of our group,” commented Matteo Mastrotto, chief executive of the Rino Mastrotto Group. “It allows us to add fabrics and other technical materials to our product portfolio, providing our customers with an increasingly complete service and at the same time generating important synergies with leathergoods.”
For his part, Andrea Mariani stated: “We are delighted to join the Rino Mastrotto Group and to have such an important partner to support the company in the next phase of growth. The industrial project we are joining is in fact one of a kind and represents an important stimulus with very ambitious goals.”
