New CEO for Furla
Former Clarks chief executive officer Giorgio Presca is joining Furla as the Italian accessories company’s new CEO.
Mr Presca has also been CEO of Golden Goose, Geox and Citizens of Humanity. He has also held executive positions at brands including Diesel and Levi’s. In total, he has more than 30 years’ experience in the fashion sector.
He succeeds Mauro Sabatini, who left Furla in April. Chief operating officer, Devis Bassetto, temporarily held the position of CEO after the exit of Mr Sabatini.
“Furla is a uniquely positioned brand with a strong heritage and high contemporary appeal,” Mr Presca said. He said he wanted to maximise the brand’s “unexploited potential”.
He comes on board after Furla reported revenues of €155 million for the first half of 2022, an increase of 12% year on year.
