The University of Northampton has awarded Will Wise, research leader at its Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT), the title of Professor of Leather Science.

It pointed out that a professorship is given “only to those with the most distinguished scholarly achievements in teaching, enterprise and research”.

In response, Professor Wise said: “The ICLT’s research programme is globally renowned, and as Professor of Leather Science my goal is to ensure that it continues to provide world-leading teaching and research for the industry now and in the future.”
