Authorities in Argentina will take former CBR tannery into public ownership

Local authorities in the province of La Rioja in Argentina have announced that they will take a tannery located in Nonogasta into public ownership.

Brazilian group CBR ran the facility until 2021 but walked away without paying compensation to employees, according to the authorities in La Rioja.

They have said they will look for new investors to take over the running of the tannery.
