A charity appeal launched by the Leathersellers’ Company for donations from members raised more than £85,000, with more than 70 people taking part.

Members and staff of the company voted on how best to use the money.

Organisations that will receive donations from Leathersellers this year include a Nottingham-based charity working with survivors of abuse, a Birmingham-based group that works to build good relations among teenagers of different faith backgrounds, a London-based toy library for children with special needs and a UK-wide charity that provides support to people rejoining their communities after completing a prison sentence.
