London-based leathergoods brand becomes part of Pittards
Leather and leather products producer Pittards has completed the acquisition of accessories brand Hill & Friends.
Co-founders Emma Hill and Georgia Fendley, both former directors of Mulberry, launched the London-based brand in 2015. They set about producing accessible luxury collections showing high levels of craftsmanship, blended with “wit, warmth and an irreverent charm”. Ms Hill will join Pittards as a consultant.
Pittards said it was pleased to add the brand to its growing portfolio and that Hill & Friends had a proven pedigree and a loyal customer base, while also offering potential for international growth.
Chief executive, Reg Hankey, said: “We are excited to be working with Emma to increase the breadth of our fashion industry offering. This acquisition represents a compelling opportunity to further scale our offering, building on our success with Daines and Hathaway.”
Pittards acquired Walsall-based leathergoods brand Daines and Hathaway in 2008.
