Leather chemicals group Stahl has joined CLIB, a network for companies working in the biotechnology sector.

CLIB’s aim is to provide opportunities for its members to work with partners to incorporate biotechnology into their efforts to foster sustainability. Stahl said its membership of the network underlined its commitment to open innovation and to working with partners across value chains to reduce its carbon emissions. 

It said it would seek to connect with like-minded companies to explore opportunities for increasing the use of bio-based and bio-derived solutions in its products.

It added that it also hopes to add value to other members of the network by providing a route to market for biotechnology solutions.
