Strong first half for Lectra
Leather-cutting technology provider Lectra has reported revenues of €250 million for the first half of 2022, an increase of 71% year on year.
Lectra said the six-month period had been significantly marked by the war in Ukraine and its consequences. Its direct exposure to the market in Ukraine and Russia was low, the group said, with revenues from the two countries contributing less than 1% of the total in 2021.
Nevertheless, as soon as the conflict began, it suspended the activity of Lectra Russia, stopping all deliveries of products or services.
“This war has accelerated price increases, energy shortfalls and shortages in some raw materials,” it added, even if Lectra’s dependency on the particular raw materials affected is “limited”.
Finally, it said that while the deterioration of the macroeconomic environment renders the level of order intake in the second half of this year uncertain, Lectra’s order backlog the end of the first half was high
