Tanning industry body celebrates anniversary
The leather manufacturing industry’s main representative body in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, CICUR, has celebrated its eightieth anniversary.
Founded in 1942, CICUR is the oldest institution of its kind in Mexico. It works to defend the interests of tanners in Guanajuato before all levels of government.
It has calculated that its members account for 80% of leather production across the whole of Mexico. It aims to help its members meet their information, training and business management needs.
