Chinese auto firm to invest in tannery in Argentina
Automotive group Chery is to build an electric car plant in Argentina and invest in a tannery there. Chery, has confirmed that it is planning to make the new plant a hub of planned expansion in South and Central America.
The new factory, which will have the capacity to produce 50,000 thousand vehicles per year, is likely to be built in Santa Fe province. The second part of Chery’s plan is to invest in a tannery in the north-western province of La Rioja to produce the leather for the cars.
