The procurement director of automotive brand Porsche, Barbara Frenkel, has paid tribute to leather supplier Pasubio during a visit to Italy.

She said Italy was an important market for Porsche, delivering 6,200 new vehicles in 2021.

Ms Frenkel said the company had around 150 suppliers across Italy, “mostly long-term and trusting partnerships that work extremely well”. During her trip to Italy, Pasubio was one of a small number of suppliers she visited. She said she was impressed by the suppliers’ commitment to innovation and passion for what they do.

She also gave the keynote speech at an event organised in Milan by a German-Italian business group (see image).
