Twenty-five students from Jiaxing University in China’s Zhejiang province attended a series workshops on Smit & Zoon Group’s Zeology tanning system at the start of June.

Organisers said the students and academic staff at the university were impressed by the sustainability and eco-friendly properties of the Zeology process, which is based on the mineral zeolite and is chrome-free, heavy metal-free and aldehyde-free.

Further workshops at universities and tanneries across China are in the pipeline.
