Morgan to hold motor festival in Malvern again
For the first time in six years, the Morgan Motor Company (MMC) is organising a motor festival on July 16. The event will take place in Malvern, the town in Worcestershire where the company was founded in 1910.
Owners and enthusiasts of company’s cars will be able to meet, enjoy factory tours and take a ride in a Morgan.
Morgans are instantly recognisable, whether in three-wheel or four-wheel versions, and stand out on the road anywhere in the world.
Three basic elements go into making the vehicles: ash, aluminium and leather. Reflecting this, the factory in Malvern has a wood shop, a body shop and a leather trim shop. The interior of each car requires at least four full hides and more than 30 hours’ work from the company’s leather craftsmen to complete.
UK leather manufacturer Yarwood Leather supplies material from its Style and Brooklands ranges to Morgan.
