Royal visitor for Roccamore
During a royal tour of Aarhus on June 4, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark included a visit to the boutique of footwear and leathergoods brand Roccamore.
Founder, Frederikke Antonie Schmidt, was able to show the royal visitor some shoes from her current collection and share details with her of the Traceability collection that Roccamore developed last year in partnership with another Danish company, Spoor.
Launched in 2021, the Traceability collection used Danish hides supplied by Spoor, with each one laser-identified to capture details about its origin, all the way back to the farm. Each shoe in the collection had a quick-response code printed on the inside, making it possible for consumers to find out details of the individual animal from which the leather came.
Frederikke Antonie Schmidt described Queen Margrethe II as an inspiration.
