Luxury group Richemont has published a new sustainability report, detailing its achievements in environmental, social and corporate governance in the year to March 31, 2022.

It reported that, with a target of using 100% renewable electricity across all its sites by 2025, it is operating today with 92% renewable electricity worldwide, an improvement of 28 percentage points since 2019.

It said it was also on track to eliminate polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from products and packaging by December 2022.

Richemont, which is the parent group of leathergoods brands Delvaux, Cartier, Chloé, and Dunhill, appointed Dr Bérangère Ruchat as its first chief sustainability officer in February 2022.
