Bordeaux breakthrough for leathergoods brand

Leathergoods brand Phi 1.618 has made a breakthrough in Bordeaux, setting up a pop-up store in a Maison Petrusse boutique in the city. The brand’s pop-up will be in place until June 16.

Paris-based Phi 1.618 was launched in 2018 by Juliette Angeletti, a former international media lawyer. Her inspiration for the name is the Phi Golden Ratio, which ancient Greek thinkers believed was the most aesthetically pleasing shape, a rectangle with sides in the proportion of approximately eight:five. Ms Angeletti has worked this into the design of her bags.

The brand is committed to environmental responsibility and uses unused full-grain calfskin leather stocks from tanners that supply mainstream luxury brands. All of the leather and all of the brand’s products are made in France.
