Warmth and comfort feature in new TFL trends catalogue
Leather chemicals group TFL has released a new trends catalogue, highlighting the colours that finished product brands are likely to prefer in their autumn-winter 2023-2024 collections.
As for previous seasons, TFL has devoted different sections of the catalogue ‘wearing’, for fashion products, and ‘living’, for interior design.
In ‘wearing’, it contends, we will see “a celebration of colour and warmth” in autumn-winter 2023-2024. Leather articles it believes tanners should prepare for that season should have a mix of patterns, bright colours, and glossy, patent finishes on soft calfskin and small skins. TFL’s analysis suggests this will work well in handbags.
In ‘living’, it says interior and office design will “shine as never before with bold, vibrant and clean shades”. Leather colours here will convey transparency and luminosity. Examples TFL gives include interwoven seats in pastel shades, vegetable-tanned leathers in natural wooden colours, curved nappa surfaces and sanded finishes “to enhance the sense of warmth and comfort”.
