An industry veteran, Ernesto Moos, has died at the age of 96. With a family history in the leather industry that stretched back to 1837, Mr Moos, worked, latterly, as a Switzerland-based hide and skin trader. He died on February 24.

He was a national representative on ICHSLTA, the International Council of Hides, Skins and Leather Traders Associations, for more than 30 years. He worked extensively for the family company in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Sweden, India and the US prior to opening his own office in Switzerland in the late 1950s, which he ran until his retirement in 2011.
