Leather Naturally launches search to replace Egbert Dikkers
Well known industry figure Egbert Dikkers, the global director for environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) at leather chemicals group Smit & Zoon, is to begin a sabbatical period on June 1.
The management board of campaign group Leather Naturally, of which Egbert Dikkers has been an active member since 2016, has said it would welcome expressions of interest from people in the global leather industry who would be interested in taking his place on the board.
It said that, during Mr Dikkers’ time, Leather Naturally had experienced strong growth and created “a sound base in education and the promotion of leather, including the global digital platform Metcha”.
It added that anyone interested will have to devote a considerable amount of time and energy to the work of growing Leather Naturally further.
