Record revenues for Kering in 2021

17/02/2022

Luxury group Kering has reported full-year revenues of €17.6 billion for 2021, indicating growth of 35% compared to the previous year and an increase of 13% compared to 2019.

It said online sales continued to grow “at an exceptional pace” last year, rising by 55% year on year. Online sales now account for 15% of total sales in Kering’s retail network.

In contrast, wholesale revenue was up 17% compared to 2020, but was down by 3% relative to 2019. The group said this was in line with a strategy of moving away from selling its products through third-party retailers.

Chief executive, François-Henri Pinault, said: “All our houses are stronger than ever before, and we are confident we will extend last year’s momentum into 2022 and in coming years.”
