Funding continues for India’s leather and footwear programme

India’s ministry of commerce has approved ongoing funding for the country’s footwear and leather development rogramme (IFLDP). Funding for the programme for the current financial year is around $220 million.

IFLDP aims to speed up the development of infrastructure for the leather and footwear manufacturing sector in India, address environmental concerns, generate employment and increase production levels.
