Growth for Stella International in 2021, although uncertainty remains
Hong Kong-based footwear group Stella International has reported full-year revenues of $1.5 billion for 2021. This represents an increase of 35% compared to the figures for 2020.
In terms of volume, Stella shipped 55.8 million pairs of shoes last year, an increase of more than 28%.
Commenting on the figures, chief executive, Chi Lo-Jen, said the recovery in orders was ongoing but he warned that there was still uncertainty about how business will go in 2022. “Existing headwinds, especially the constantly evolving covid-19 situations, remain a key risk.”
Chairman, Lawrence Chen, said: “We remain focused on achieving profitable and sustainable long-term growth. This includes expanding our manufacturing capacity in south-east Asia and further building up athleisure footwear offering.”
