The Pakistan Tanners Association has issued a call for bids from engineering, procurement and construction contractors to carry out upgrade work on the effluent treatment plant at the Korangi leather manufacturing cluster, near Karachi.

Korangi’s effluent treatment plant is located a few hundred metres from tanneries in the cluster and close to the Malir river. This project is being funded by Pakistan’s ministry of commerce and textiles.

Interested parties will have to move quickly, though, because bids must be received by January 3.
