Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) intends to go ahead with the seventh Pakistan Mega Leather Show in Lahore from January 28-30. The covid-19 pandemic prevented the exhibition from going ahead in 2021.

In early December, the organisers, including the representative bodies for footwear, garment and glove manufacturers as well as the PTA, said they had already begun taking bookings for stands at the event.

This announcement coincided with new data from the country’s federal bureau of statistics showing that leather industry exports in the first four months of the current financial year, July-October 2021, were up by more than 14% year on year, reaching $316.5 million.
