Volume was up too, compared to 2020, by 9.6%, reaching more than 133 million square-metres. But, compared to the corresponding period in 2019, this year’s volume was down by 4%.

Finished leather accounted for the largest share of exports, providing 56.7% of value and 52.8% of the total volume. The corresponding figures for wet blue were 26% and 37.2% respectively. Crust accounted for most of the rest.
