Former World Leather technical editor to publish leather guide
The former technical editor of World Leather, Richard Daniels, is publishing a new guide to leather manufacture that he intends to make available free of charge to the whole industry.
Mr Daniels hopes formally to launch the publication, ‘Making Leather, An Overview of Manufacture’, at the time of the XXXVI IULTCS Congress, which will take place in Ethiopia from November 3-5.
He has said the publication will be of particular help to people who are new to the industry, coming into roles such as technicians in leather manufacturing companies.
His determination is to share as widely as possible the knowledge of leather that he has built up in a career spanning more than 55 years so far. His decision to make the publication freely available at no cost comes from a desire “to give something back”.
