After a long, covid-enforced wait, the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, premiered in London on September 28. The makers said it had been the most expensive Bond film ever, costing £32.3 million to make.

This is also the last film in which Daniel Craig will play 007; he first played the role in the remake of Casino Royale in 2006.

Perhaps because of the casino collection, an online gambling company called Casino Scores analysed budget data from the five films in which Mr Craig has starred and worked out that the producers of the films had spent £150,000 on his wardrobe.

A pair of cuff-links made by Tom Ford for Bond to wear in the penultimate film, Spectre, accounted for almost half of the total budget on their own, but the most expensive item of clothing on the list is a leather jacket from Giorgio Armani that Daniel Craig wore on his Bond debut. The jacket cost £4,800.

A spokesperson for Casino Scores said that part of the appeal of James Bond is the lavish lifestyle the character lives, adding that having the character on screen again would provide “the perfect escapism we all need”.
